Trade Ministry Export Processes and State Support Training Program Held at İvedik OSB and Teknopark Ankara

In collaboration with Turkey’s Ministry of Trade and Teknopark Ankara, the “Trade Ministry Export Processes and State Support Training Program” was successfully held in our region with broad participation. Throughout the program, companies were informed about state supports provided by the Ministry of Trade, up-to-date online services, and critical topics in foreign trade through expert presentations. Participants gained valuable insights into improving export processes, enhancing their competitive edge in international markets, and exploring new market opportunities. The seminar also focused on practical challenges and discussed possible solutions.

Attendees and Opening Remarks

Notable attendees from the region included İvedik OSB Regional Director Fatih Öztepe, Teknopark Ankara General Manager Berk Yavru, and Director General of the Ministry of Trade’s International Service Trade Directorate, Tarık Sönmez, alongside many other prominent figures. Ministry officials and expert trainers provided in-depth training on export processes and state supports to companies operating at Teknopark Ankara.

In his opening speech, İvedik OSB Regional Director Fatih Öztepe highlighted the contributions of İvedik OSB and Teknopark Ankara to Turkey’s production, employment, and exports, stating: “As İvedik Organized Industrial Zone, we are not only focused on production processes but also embrace a structure that supports technology and innovative entrepreneurship. As Turkey’s second-largest organized industrial zone, we take pride in leading digital transformation in industry. Together with Teknopark Ankara, we are developing strategic partnerships to increase the competitiveness of our companies in global markets. Our goal as a region is to further strengthen our domestic production capabilities and become a more active player on the international stage. Today’s Trade Ministry Export Processes and State Support Training Program is a crucial step towards offering new opportunities to our exporting companies.”

Director General Tarık Sönmez from the Ministry of Trade emphasized the importance of companies benefiting from the available incentives and supports during his speech, noting the growing share of service exports in Turkey’s trade volume. Various training sessions were conducted for participating companies, covering topics such as:

  • State Aids in IT Sector Exports: Presented by Hüseyin Adlım
  • SME and Clustering Supports: Presented by Emrah Ersoy
  • Fair Supports: Presented by Çağatay Serter
  • Branding and Design Supports: Presented by Gökberk Sönmez
  • E-Export Supports and the Easy Export Platform: Presented by Fatma Gül Kurt
  • Green Deal Compliance Project, the “Responsible” Program: Presented by Canberk Eyigün

These comprehensive sessions delivered by the Ministry of Trade experts provided significant opportunities for local companies to enhance their current exports and explore new prospects.

İvedik OSB and Teknopark Ankara’s Export Goals

İvedik OSB and Teknopark Ankara stand out with their contributions to Turkey’s technology and production ecosystem. İvedik OSB operates with over 10,000 firms and employs more than 120,000 people, generating annual revenue exceeding $5 billion and exports surpassing $1 billion. Meanwhile, Teknopark Ankara, with more than 350 R&D companies and over 2,500 R&D personnel, ranks among Turkey’s leading technology development zones.

Throughout the event, companies in the region deepened their knowledge of export processes, while the Ministry of Trade’s state supports were underscored as key tools for increasing their export potential. Significant advantages were noted, especially regarding critical programs like e-Turquality, SME clustering, fair, and branding supports.

This vital event highlighted the steps being taken to make companies in our region more competitive and stronger in the global market.
